Membership in the USMMA KP Alumni - Chesapeake Chapter is open to all graduates of the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Additionally, we offer associate membership for non-graduates who support our mission.

USMMA graduates residing in Maryland, Virginia, DC metro, or Pennsylvania
Associate Member
$50/year
KP graduates outside region or supporters of USMMA mission
Life Member
$1,000 one-time
Lifetime membership with all chapter benefits
Student Member

Current USMMA midshipmen (includes transition support)

Joining the Chesapeake Chapter is simple:
- Complete Application: Fill out the membership form below or download a printable version
- Provide Verification: Submit copy of USMMA diploma or official transcript (for regular members)
- Pay Dues: Associate members pay annual dues; Life members pay one-time fee
- Receive Confirmation: Membership approval typically takes 5-7 business days
- Welcome Package: New members receive welcome packet with chapter information and member directory
Member Responsibilities
Chapter members are encouraged to:
- Attend the annual reunion and at least one other chapter event per year
- Support USMMA recruitment efforts when possible
- Maintain current contact information in the member database
- Participate in chapter communications and stay informed
While participation is encouraged, there are no mandatory obligations. The chapter operates entirely through volunteer efforts.
